Yes, a sandbox trap.

I saw a guitar player the other day and then I was looking inside some books he wrote at Amazon and it was dedicated to his teacher, Ted.

Tom Dempsey.

I had a feeling. He subbed as my teacher sometimes when Ted was ill. Decent guy.

Maybe mods should google-proof that? IDK

Gilad Hekselman - going to be a big deal?

Trying to avoid that guy, but maybe I'm confusing him with a similarly named percussionist

I saw Gilad Hekselman once with Sam Yahel. I thought he was good -- his main strength was that he was dynamic and exciting, which is something not a lot of jazz guitarists are (I think I saw a George Benson video where he talked about how guitarists get stuck playing in one or two positions, and you have to use the whole fretboard in a more striking way to create excitement -- he did that).
