I was having a hard time deciding, so I thought I'd leave it to ilm to suss out.

I just listened to these back to back & I think Bizarro has the better songs, but the engineering/production/whatev dynamics on Seamonsters are incredible - imo Albini's finest hour.

That's odd, Seamonsters doesn't even rate for me. My personal struggle is between Bizarro and Watusi.

lol I don't even like Watusi much. Seamonsters is a, er, monster.

seamonsters. both are classic. otm about seamonsters having stellar engineering from albini, everything sounds so cool. those drummmmms! is that drummer in the current incarnation of the wedding present? where is he now?

Only one I ever liked at all was George Best.

Yay for "Watusi", their most underrated album!

btw the cinerama albums (especially the last one -- more crunch) were really good fuiud

ha, today's Album of the Day on allmusic is Bizarro with a link review that is very short and only four stars out of their five.

love them both but the engineering on Seamonsters is brutal, and on balance I think the songs are slightly better than Bizarro.
Seamonsters wins!

I always get caught up in Kennedy vs. Take Me as the better What Goes On rip-off. Can't really get past that...
