and admit whether you've ever had one so badass you've actually intentionally had someone call you so other people would hear it

Ha ha ha. No, but it's got something pretty satisfying like 40 seconds. So you get 'The Wizard' laughing, some scraping strings and then a lot of riffage... Kind of terrifying the first few times it went off.
This is why We Were Promised Jet Packs and every other band doing retro futurist chic at the moment simply show a lack of imagination. I've got a black obelisk in my pocket that plays Electric Wizard and connects me to the internet and holds my entire collection of Aphex Twin tunes. That's loads better than a jet pack you morons. (And it's not like jet packs don't exist even.) I'm pretty confident in saying that an iPhone has more repeat enjoyment potential than a holiday on the moon even.

I have Rick Ross -- B.M.F. at the moment but it's mostly 'for show' as I almost always have the thing on vibrate cuz I'm almost always in an environment where I can't disturb people.

anything but vibrate and you're a savage
― v-shasty, Saturday, 10 December 2011 19:25 (fourteen years ago)
i haven't had my phone set on anything else in like 2 years cuz of always being at work or someplace where it going off would be a disturbance.

Vibrate is for living in public. Ringtones are for jamming out at home or in the car.

Stereolab "Miss Modular" for most calls. Belle & Sebastian "Step Into My Office Baby" for calls from my manager. Frank Zappa "Camarillo Brillo" for calls from my wife.
