it still alarms me everytime to be reminded that a) there's a band that calls themselves Hype Williams and b) there are people that can bring themselves to listen to them.

tbh I would listen to Hype Williams the band over Pushy Parents, Humousexual, or Tunabunny if we are going srictly on horrible band names

Well, that's odd. I wouldn't consider listing something by (say) Dave, Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich as "v/a". It's very much a collaboration.

I agree it should be listed under the artists - I just pointed it out so that (a) you get your nom back (b) it doesn't turn up twice on the final nominations list.

It's a great record, I kinda slept on it until I saw Star Slinger doing his thing live and it was mindblowing, the way his beats seemed to fold in and explode on themselves.

No problem, didn't take it that way! I felt disappointed with myself for I hate others for not looking if something hadn't been nommed yet. But with this one I though "surely not"... And I'm very pleased I was wrong :)

I'd also strongly rep for the Unknown Mortal Orchestra album, which was slow to flower on me, but really emerged as one of the more unusual and beautiful albums of the year.

Loving the Spotify playlist, maybe partly because I clicked "Time" and am listening from shortest to longest. Haven't yet got to stuff longer than 3 minutes...
