Sébastien Tellier - My God Is Blue

It’s undoubtedly the most important event in Record Makers’ history: the March 20, 2012 release of “My God is Blue”, the latest opus from Sébastien Tellier.

Important because this is without a doubt his most profound and fully-realized album yet. It's especially important because by allowing this work to come to fruition, Record Makers is contributing to a mission that goes beyond a simple album release, as highly anticipated as it may be. Because “My God Is Blue” isn’t just any Sébastien Tellier album, but the one where he achieves his spiritual maturity. It’s a work of art that serves another on an infinitely higher plane.

By his own admission, Tellier thinks of this album as the first stone of a much larger construction, a construction whose ambition is nothing less than a radical change in our relationship to the world and other beings.

Demagoguery? Pretentiousness? We can’t stop some folks from thinking so. And yet it’s precisely the opposite that Tellier provides in his music: it is a gift. It is love. It is a message of humility toward the world and a love for all beings and earthly things.

“Don’t listen to my album; listen to my message,” he tells us. “Enter into vibration with my music. Let’s merge our dreams, together spreading this communal energy in an immense blue wave that will wash over the world—and the truth will emerge.”

Rendez-vous on January 9, 2012 for the first Blue message
