I bought Rocksmith, the video game that lets you plug a guitar into the console to teach you how to play it. I only have an acoustic, though, so I also bought this pickup; unfortunately, the diameter of the soundhole in my guitar is less than 3.5 inches, and that pickup is made for 3.85-4.10 inches. So, what are my options? Are there soundhole pickups that can fit < 3.5''? If not, are there different kinds of pickups that don't fit into the soundhole?

Also, definitely looking for something less than $50, and easy to install.

you can get a fairly cheap usb mic for $5, which i suspect might be compatible with rocksmith.as far as i understand there is nothing fancy at all about the rocksmith adapter, all the fancy note detection is done in software.

This is the Rocksmith adapter: http://www.fakeplasticrock.com/wp-content/uploads/rocksmith-cable.jpg
Will these mics work with that? I looked at a contact mic on Amazon, and it doesn't look to have a way to plug into that adapter.

You can get a female 1/4" to 1/4" adapter that would work fine with rhat
