By which I mean, of course, "Misery" and "There's A Place." They still sound kind of weird to me after all these years, even though perhaps I should know better.

Of course this question will only be of interest to old US-based geezers like xhuxk, don, George Smith, haikunym and lovebug starski.

In other words, I should have asked this question on, or retitled this thread as, the nu-ilx sandbox rolling country 2006 billy jack and pop thread!

these were on "introducing the beatles".

"there's a place" is one of my favorite beatles songs, definitely one of the best early (pre-65) songs. along with "not a second time".

Introducing The Beatles? That wasn't on Capitol, was it? That was probably on VeeJay, and was the Beatles contribution to The Beatles vs. The Four Seasons.

"introducing the beatles" was on Vee-Jay, and it came out before "Meet the Beatles" so was their first actual US album, though it didn't sell very well until Meet the Beatles came out. Capitol released "The Early Beatles" a year later to make money off those songs.
