No Sleep Till Hammersmith's good as well

"good" does not do it service. It's fucking awesome.

I'm not that keen on the s/t and On Parole stuff, compared to what came after.

On Parole may not be the balls overall, but its few great moments are just blindingly awsome. Hell, the title track is one of the best damn tunes in their catalog.

And I wanna stand up for Another Perfect Day while I got the chance. Not the greatest album they ever put out (take your pick from Bomber, Overkill, Ace of Spades, and No Sleep 'til Hammersmith for those laurels), but right up there with the best of 'em. I like the pop songs, and I LOVE the dragged-out evil shit like One Track Mind.

Motorhead! 12" Single! Chiswick Records!

You don't need a turntable, just wave it and hear the grooves play against the Wind!

The newest one is pretty good, albeit containing one track that sounds like Status Quo

I really tried to like Another Perfect Day - both when I bought it in '83 and in subsequent years - but it never happened for me. Do love "One Track Mind" though.

The first s/t album strikes me as thin production-wise. Have the same problem w/ the first Iron Maiden album. Am intrigued by No Parole, though. Larry Wallis? Feckin' 'ell.
