So I've lurked forever, and a couple months ago got up the stones to do the intro thread, and then, lo and behold, lost my internet connection the next day. For a good long while. Then semester started, etc.
Anyway, I've got it back now, and I figure screw waiting for the new code. I encourage any lurkers itching to post to do the same.

I've been reading ILX since I was 16, when a friend showed me ILM and proceeded to fill both our computers with pretty much everything mentioned on there.
If I could find the google cached intro thread, I'd do the whole questionaire, but ah well.

Well, when so much of your tastes are affected by something (I got most of my music, books, and fun little consumer goods from said friend, and he got most of them from ilx), the idea of joining in is a bit intimidating.
And the bullies. A constant fear that Ned's going to beat you up after homeroom is hard to surmount.
