Did I miss a thread? The UK and the US are bottom of the table as far as this report is concerned.

The press are all over it (or were yesterday) but the response to it seems...er...confused at best. Sort it out for me, please.

"The report for the first time measures and compares overall child well-being across six dimensions: material well-being, health and safety, education, peer and family relationships, behaviours and risks, and young people’s own subjective sense of their own well-being."

!= parenting skills

No - I know it doesn't say that - that's just how it's being reported in some quarters - in others it's all the fault of the government. In the BBC Have Your Say (i know - why do I read it...) it political correctness and The Gays.

I'm not really sure what it's saying (and I've actually read most of the thing) - hence the question.

In the clip, a boy wearing a nappy was called a "wimp" for not hitting a girl back after she struck him in the face.

I think the US uses a somewhat broader definition of "live birth" than many countries, which inflates its infant mortality rate.
