TS: text you can copy and paste from websites vs. text you can't

Certain sites have always made their reviews/interviews/whatever unliftable, but lately this practice has become more widespread (also: setting things up so that one must highlight two seconds of the same story on the same page to copy, or breaking up text with ads). Which sucks. I mean, I imagine the idea is to prevent people from stealing/or re-publishing your work or to keep them focussed on the page on which the work appears/susceptible to ad content. But it sucks when, like, I wanna copy something from the A.V. Club to an email file so I can read it during work hours without having my browser up and incurring the wrath of superiors.

Anyway. Just wanted to complain, I'm sure nobody cares.

If you view source, sometimes you can cut/paste from there.
