Breakfast was a Vegemite cheeseburger, because I think I'm having eggs for dinner. It just balanced.

Right now I'm cooking hominy in coconut milk with curry powder (Penzey's Maharajah curry blend, which is a typical curry powder with a little saffron for more color; I'm not sure it's worth the mark-up over their other blends, for the record). When the hominy is fully cooked, I'll cook the coconut milk off until it breaks like rendang.

yesterday i had communion but i don't think that counts. then i went to an indian buffet for lunch, and tasted many things. i went to a dining hall for dinner and had barbecue chicken fingers, pasta, carrots, fruit pie, and coffee. yum junk food!

today i had a cup of tea with honey for my throat in the morning and a piece of wonderful leftover lasagna for lunch (regular vegetarian cheese & spinach, but caramelized onions gave it an amazing touch).

projected: i'll be getting a cup of coffee on my way to class, probably getting hungry and eating an apple after class, and my roommates are making general tso's chicken for dinner.

There's warm apple-butter bread pudding if I want a snack, but I think I'm going to give most of that to my mother and her family.

You better have been wearing some fucking fancy slippers!

I had McDonalds homefries things - because I had a sick tummy! High sodium potato product and iced tea and water - tummy will be all better. This was yesterday... worked in private care for elderly couple who saw Cab Calloway play on their honeymoon - 70 years ago! Elderly people are not great/adventourous eaters. So we had mixed fruit and egg salad sandwiches. I also snacked on everything in sight. Chex mix, M&m's, tiny Snickers bars, peanut butter crackers ...if it was a snack food, I ate it.
Also many grapes as I skunked Mrs. Bloom at gin rummy - and some pudding, after she insisted. Before I skunked her.
cream of broccoli soup and "deli" sandwiches for dinner with the Blooms. That's pastrami and bologna - kosher - with mustard, on a kaiser roll. And a pickle.
and some french fries. and then we had dessert. ice cream with two toppings - chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Both from conveniently packaged containers.
Then I left, and decided to have pasta carbonara at my favorite local restaurant, with two glasses of chardonnay and one glass of limoncello.
Today I have had some whiskey and water. And many cigarettes.
I'm never going back to that house! Until next Sunday.

You did say face stuffing! I lived it!

Yesterday I somehow just kind of forgot to eat until I was 3 gin&tonics to the wind, when I realized suddenly 'LOLs there's nothing in my tummy!'. I ate a couple handfuls of cashews and half a grapefruit, I wanted to eat more but dared not attempt to cook for fear of the pain of heat! Hence I am fucking STARVINGK right now.

Got home from work last night and considered a pork roast, then veered toward sushi instead. It was the wrong time of day to hit our favorite kaiten place, but had a fabulous amount of nigiri and rolls at a trad place not too far from us. Mr. Jaq got pwned by the Blazing Godzilla (billed as spicy tuna roll covered in unagi). It was as billed, but covered in chili oil enhanced sriracha and some kind of intense green sauce. Beautiful, but deadly.

Breakfast this morning: oatmeal with dried cranberries, cream, maple syrup

All week: lots of miso soup, for breaky or snax
Lunch today: chicken and salad (lettuce, beetroot, tomato etc) sammich on wholemeal.

Dinner will probably be some kind of posh steak and veg, for valentines dinner that I have to cook myself because I'm dumb.

breakfast: a piece of chocolate cake and 2.5 cups of coffee.

lunch: another (smaller piece of cake and a peach that wasn't very good - not very juicy, not much flavor, and starting to turn brown in the center. But I was a bit hungry and I hate to waste. It kept me from breaking into my snack food drawer at work.

dinner: half a cheap frozen pizza (Verde brand, thin crust, $4.50 for 23 oz). Plain cheese but I put half a can of sardines on it, along with some mushrooms and yellow bell pepper. Turned out not too bad. With half a bottle of Clos de Bois Shiraz. A couple Reese's pieces for dessert.

Right after Thanksgiving there was a massive sale on fresh turkey -- it was cheaper for me to buy 2 12 pound turkeys than the package of thighs I was in the store to get, but I didn't have anywhere to put them, so I made lots of stock and confit.

Today I'm using up some of the confit: confit thigh with a sauce of demiglace, hot sauce, and smoked almonds, along with some rye berries.

Tonight for dinner: chard, prepared in vegetable soup stock, which was then reduced and combined with other ingredients to create a ginger sweet and sour sauce. Plus scallions on top. Also, toasted baguette slices with melted provolone and a not-bad red table wine (not pictured):

That looks so good, Ned.

I just got back from a long holiday so there was nothing much in the fridge.

Yesterday, toast for breakfast, egg sandwich for lunch, went for Japanese for dinner - had a bento box with chicken teriyaki, assorted veg tempura, salmon sashimi, miso soup and green tea.

Today - just toast so far. Going out for groceries in a bit.

Today I am healthy (sort of):
Fruit smoothie with watermelon, psyllium, blueberries, strawberries, canteloupe, yogurt, juice.
It's early. I am going to make eggs (omelette) with avocado and mozzarella and then go to the 10 a.m. movie in Northampton - where they serve FREE popcorn/coffee/soda - and finally see "Pan's Labyrinth".
It might be a downhill slide from now on.

Yesterday, before giving up junk food for Lent:

Cheeseburger with pepperjack and ... um, the Italian cheese I was using up that I don't remember the name of now.

Chicken wings marinated in Tabasco sauce for two days, baked until crispy, drizzled with butter and sprinkled with more hot sauce

Cadbury Royal Dark Mini-Eggs (these are not all that good compared to regular mini-eggs, I was eating them on principle)

Peanuts in Coca-Cola

Dr Pepper

One Whoopie Pie

(Non junk: undressed salad of lettuce and cucumbers, pretzels)

Tep (ktepi), Wednesday, 21 February 2007 11:42 (seventeen years ago) link

This morning yoghurt (with vitamin C sugary sauce)

Lunch: baked potatos, veggies (brocc. carrots..), a little sausage and a bacon-burger and some mayonaise.

Tonight: probably broccoli soup or something.

Somewhere during the day: yoghurt-raisins. Or what's left of it.

Lots of water.
