I got an apologetic "I didn't get you anything for Valentine's Day" from Mister Monkey when I picked him up from the train yesterday evening, but that's okay.

She is upset because she was finishing a job last Friday and they took her out in the afternoon so she didn't get a chance to post my card until Monday. It's funny cos I keep saying I'm more upset that she is upset than if my card doesn't arrive until tomorrow but she is still upset anyway!

Those of you who've worked in kitchens will greet the news that our clueless new manager has decided to arrange everything in two sittings with a shudder of horror. I'm not anticipating a pleasant evening. I am anticipating 280 well done steaks.

The evening would only be complete if the Vicar was to wear a dress shirt, white tie and tails, but then take his tailcoat off to reveal that he was wearing only the starched front of the dress shirt, and could make big box little box very effectively with his dress gloves.
