Donkey Kong New York -- you can just jump in whereever, you won't be lost or anything in terms of continuity. Vol 3 is definitely the peak, so by all means, go for that. I did the same thing and it didn't make any difference to me.

Newuniversal, based on the first issue, is NICE. Not as nice as ELVIS MODOKs (or, speaking of digressions, Cam Stewart's MODOK Avengers), but nice.

Yeah, I liked the first issue of Newuniversal well enough, but I'm not sure if I'll keep going with it -- I'll flip through and go on instinct. I admired the first issue more than I liked it, you know?

52, All-New Atom (although my interest is flagging), All-Star Superman, Civiil mumblemumbleexcept it's not gonna be on the West Coast, Irredeemable Ant-Man.

I'd say Essential FF vol. 3 is a fine investment. Those were the days when Stan Lee knew that every issue of every comic was somebody's first--really, you can jump in just about anywhere.

I can't find an Ultimates release date anywhere. Did we ever discuss on old-ILC just how atrocious the last issue was? What a come-down.

It's probably coming out sometime in February. Hitch announced that he completed the art last month, so they are probably working in post-production on the inks, colors, etc through December and early January.
