So I put "vue cinemas" in google expecting to get a link to where i can book online and instaed I get everything but an official Vue cinema site. What am I doing wrong?

Ha! Perhaps my old mac is using old google!

Now that's weird - I did the same search on Opera and got myvue. Is this a firefox problem? Where would that be? I just do not understand computers.

i was using firefox an' all :/

can you do it again and post a screenshot or summat? (dunno how that will help, but it's the kind of thing helpdesks say.)

alternatively, just say "fuck it" and go and have a nice afternoon at the cinema instead!

Oh, I had strict filtering on...stand down.

Although why strict filtering would filter that out but not a link to the same info via TimeOut is beyond me.

How do you get Google to stop automatically filling in (or suggesting) search entries from your previous searches? This has annoyed me for ages but I can't find out how to turn it off.

This title made me imagine them rolling out a new web app called, you know, Google Problems.

It's not Google that remembers this, it's your browser.

Firefox: Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> History -> "Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar" has to be OFF (check the Private Settings options a bit further on that page to clear what it has saved at the moment)

Internet Explorer: Tools -> Options -> Content -> Personal Information: Autocomplete -> Use AutoComplete for Forms has to be OFF (and click the "Clear Forms" button while you're there to get rid of everything it has saved at the moment)

No way man, autofill is great. I love, no kidding, getting on the man's lappy when my mac is being stoo-pid and getting things like "cute redhead shemale tranny" for search...suggestions.

Thanks StanM.

Weirdest google autofill I ever came across was "latino fucking cunt lyrics". On my work PC. Must have been me, but damned if I can remember.

That is a song I have not heard.

I was hoping there was a troubleshooting search engine called Google Problems.
