hehe, i've been totally not starting this thread for ph34r it would look like showing off, but then my crack midfield of arteta, ronaldo, gilberto, lampard and benayoun hardly scored anything yesterday...

also, how is everyone getting on in the Fantasy Cup?

i can only see my result and i got knocked out in the first round...

ooooh i didn't know this existed. I'm still in! (Round 4) ahead by 9 points but the other team still has lampard + 3 arsenal players.. so not looking great :\ tho drogba might save the day..

I've already been knocked out of the cup, but my festive form has been great (mainly due to having Ronaldo as captain and selling off my Chelsea defenders). I put Scholes on the bench when he was suspended and (what with it being New Year's Eve) forgot to put him back in the team for his two goals yesterday.

Wheee! I got the fourth best points haul of December... and I'm pretty sure I was bottom at some point! So I'm up to 9th. That might not last until later tonight, but I am pleased. Hopefully Drogba and Gilberto will do some good for me later...

Thank you Nicky Shorey, for making up for how I got rid of Primus the week before he scored his first two goals in two years. How you didn't get any bonus points at all for three assists and generally being the best Reading player is beyond me.

Now I am excited by the prospect of replacing the injured Saha... ooh, the possiblities! I am glad the temptation of a resurgent Darren Bent has been removed, though... I keep making too many transfers and dropping lots of points because I like to keep it interesting (and like a child in the school playground, I can never decide who my favourites are). It makes me feel like the Arsenal of fantasy football.

I am getting far too into this. Dropping a player who then gets a big points haul induces dispoportionate levels of hand-wringing sulking, cf them not pointing out that Arteta wasn't injured any more the week he came back and got his customary 310 assists.

have they given out the bonus points for yesterday's matches yet? sometimes it takes a while...

not yet i think.. they usually add those after all the games are over for the gameweek

bonus points are added the same day. bonus points are already in place. nicky shorey didnt get any because they went to sidwell, doyle and hunt
