like Philadelphia, for instance.

I just spent some time in your fair city, which heretofore had mostly eluded me, and I gotta say it's pretty nice, though all I got to see was around Center City, the Art Museum and the train station. I can't decide if it's a Bigger Boston or a More Charming New York.

Monk's was a fun place. Food wasn't anything to write home about, but I recognize the beer is the point.

i'm going to philly in april for the APA conference, although i probably won't have too much free time to do phillyish things. nb one of the presentation titles is "from cheesesteak to tacos."

i might want to go to that if i weren't going to LA right after. i would totally stay at the Loews if I were you.

I didn't realize how much art deco there was in philly.

I want to go back to Morimoto again. Also, I missed Monk's the first time around.

My only complaint about the Loews was that the conference area (esp the big exhibition hall) is a pretty good hike from the main part
of the hotel. Otherwise thumbs up.
