Do you remove your pubic hair? How do you feel about the practice and the aesthetic?

I have nothing against it in theory, but the other afternoon I experienced an odd moment. I was in bed with this girl, the first time we've gotten naked together. She lay on her back, I held her ankles in my hands and lifted them over her, but looking down at her bald area I suddenly felt like I should be changing her nappies. A completely un-erotic sensation. I was unable to proceed.
