My mac's on the blink and I'm using my work PC - I want to put my songs and playlists on it as they are, so what's the best freeware prog for XP? It needs to be an exe rather than installed program as I don't have the admin priveliges to install software, just run files.

Ta in advance!

Sharepod runs on teh ipod itself, but the songs you want to copy have to be on a playlist already.

Yeah, I used copypod and it was really easy and worked fine.

S'not working, as it's a mac formatted iPod; I can't get macopener on this machine at all, which is a blow, and I can't make changes within a mac environment as I don't have access to the mac.

After six months in a coma my ipod has been just about resurrected (thanks to a swift WHACK! on a table). All I need is for it to last long enough so I can transfer everything I picked up in America onto my PC. Which won't be until after xmas. The mac laptop just won't do it.

i don't know that there's anyway to get a PC to recognize a mac formatted ipod. whereas a mac will recognize a pc-formatted ipod. hence, if you have both platforms, always format it for pc.
