All shows should kill off their most annoying character and deal with the aftermath in two episodes.

Lil' Marissa is creepy. Has network TV ever routinely presented a fourteen-year old such a sexual light before?

a. she's 15
b. "james at 15"
c. they've all been dealing with marissa's death all year, esp. the chrismukkah episode
d. taylor townsend is the greatest thing to happen to this show since summer roberts became awesome
e. no one is watching this year, which is a shame, because it has been really good

I haven't seen the Chrismukkah ep yet, but dealing mostly seems to be making jokes (Summer and grief) or Ryan brooding (difficult to separate).

Sandy/Kirsten/Cohen/Julie/etc. have moved on rapidly, now that Julie's single.

last thursday's ep airs here in australia tomorrow night, so i haven't seen it, but a few things about this season anyway:

its weird to see sandy and kirsten all lovey dovey.

caitlin is a peach and may get peachier as long as they don't try to make her the main character. im not sure about her budding conscience though. it would be nice if she was a little more hardcore with her badness.

taylor, and ryan's carwash fantasies of her, are rocking this show right now.

hippie boy is a bore.

milo: did you maybe miss the 300 episodes where ryan went in search of volchek, or the ones where julie and caitlin went off the rails separately and together? every episode has had marissa's greazy fingerprints all over it.

sunny: dude playing che is hilarious! but you'll have a great surprise this week.

Those were like two episodes - Fight Club + Mexico, then he's back in the house and brooding (but funny).

Okay, who's potentially knocked up - will it be Taylor (as the previews suggest), or will it be Summer (who's getting hitched)? Perhaps both?

i have been watching this show! it really is good this season! if totally unsubtle (but, as i've said before, i don't look for subtlety in my tv.) i didn't see last week's though, yet.

summer is getting hitched?? when did that happen.

I know who is preggers by the way but people get so mad at spoilers on here.

also, i got strong armed away from the tv when julie was opening the note. what did it say?

sunny successor (katarina), Thursday, 21 December 2006 21:32 (seventeen years ago) link

Cohen proposes in the preview. I assume that means they will wind up hitched even if plot requires trouble.

milo (milo), Friday, 22 December 2006 00:51 (seventeen years ago) link

um the note said something like "i have to leave the o.c. to get some space" or some shit like that, not very dramatical

And she wanted Ryan to let go and be free. So he did. Now he can bang Taylor to his heart's content without feeling bad for the waif he left behind.

"who is it?"
"a slutty alien. did you pee?"
