some keys on my keyboard have stopped working

right shift key, right alt key, arrow up, 1 through 6 on the num pad, and some others, suddenly, yesterday. what can i do about this

Follow the cable back to your PC, unplug, check pins (if it has pins), shake keyb upside down, plug in again, reboot if necessary?

(keyboards are way cheap though)

the usb plug is clean and intact, as is the keyboard, shaking and rebooting didnt help, and mac keyboards are, im afraid, a bit expensive
