some keys on my keyboard have stopped working

right shift key, right alt key, arrow up, 1 through 6 on the num pad, and some others, suddenly, yesterday. what can i do about this

Follow the cable back to your PC, unplug, check pins (if it has pins), shake keyb upside down, plug in again, reboot if necessary?

(keyboards are way cheap though)

(keyboard upside down, not you) (and pins: in the connector at the end of that cable)

the usb plug is clean and intact, as is the keyboard, shaking and rebooting didnt help, and mac keyboards are, im afraid, a bit expensive

That's about the lifespan I got out of my first mac keyboard.

you don't need to replace it with a mac keyboard
