I only heard about it the next day - I don't watch TV, and when I do it's rarely the Francophone channels.

Just a stupid stunt, but they succeeded in getting nationalism and other xenophobe feelings in the news. Again.

I was seriously pissed. I wasn't fooled because, well, I don't watch French speaking telly and by the time I saw it, the VRT said it was a hoax/joke or whatever you wanna call it. I don't know, I just think it's extremely inappropriate to do this. Even if it was the first of April, it would still be extremely NOT funny. What with Vlaams Belang and the already fragile relationship between the Flanders and Walloons, I think this was just very wrong. Why did they do it? I wonder. I know it was (also?) a way to kickstart a discussion, but this is just the wrong way to tackle this issue.

At least they didn't say (DJ) Martian's taken over as president.

heh. I did laugh at the fact they claimed the king had fled the country. I was hoping to see him on his motorcycle. ;-)

Wallonia would be better off without those humourless Flemish jerks!
