Me: Gave - Britney's "Baby One More Time" album.

Got - a bottle of white wine.

There was a £5 spending cap. I suspect the person who bought the wine flouted this seeing as it was pinot grigio. I didn't as I bought the Britney cd from the Oxfam shop for £3.50 (the Oxfam that Johnney B works at, no less).

I have two, one for work and we're doing one within our friends circle.

For the works one I bought her a candle, shaped into an large bowl of ice cream. because she's italian.

for my friend i want to get him something to do with the HMS Hood ship, as he's obsessed about it.

i've recieved nothing yet, will let you know after this weekend.

My fecking secret santa person has fecked off to Singapore for three months so I have to leave her present on her desk for when she gets back. Boooooooring. She has been very organised and bought somebody something before leaving. Anyway, I got her a little bottle of Molton Brown bath gel stuff, which was part of the TSV on QVC this weekend! I have no idea what it cost, because it was in a pack with lots of other MB stuff, but it'll be less than a fiver I'm sure, so I'm OK.

I will find out what I've got on Thursday.

also, Taking Sides: the kind of Secret Santa where everyone gives a gift anonymously and then picks one out of a box at random or the kind where you pick a name out of the box at random and have to buy a gift for that particular person? There are an awful lot of my colleagues whom I don't know particularly well and so I'm quite glad our one's the former.

Incidentally, the person who got the Britney cd told me she *almost* left it behind in the restauarant on purpose.

A Yankee Swap is like a competetive Secret Santa based on greed. Almost everybody loses. Awesome.

Last year, my manager was given a brick by Secret Santa.

Last year, I was in another office and we had to write on a list what we wanted and then Secret Santa would get it for us. Ruined it, horrible.

Good work Mark!

I detest secret santa's, but have been press ganged into doing it again. The whole thing is horrible, but you feel like the world' most unpopular person if you don't end up with a pressie at the end of it, so I thought it best to be put in. We're doing our hand-outs on the 20th, so I'll tell you what I got later. As for what I'm getting the recipient, I haven't a clue. We're limited to £6.66 (oh, how we laughed), I don't want to just buy tack, but what can a fiver get you that isn't shit? I'll have a ponder and get back to you.

I got a magic eightball and the person that gave it to me couldn't help but give away the secret part of it by coming into my office all the time to play with it

Last year's was very successful, I got a Michael's gift card, and gave King Kong trading cards, a book for horoscopes, Moose Munch and a stuffed penguin.
