I understand Pate Chinois is made with minced beef, which would make its Brit equivalent cottage, not shepherd's, pie.

i use ground beef rather than minced though.

I've only had it with ground beef. This is awesome 'cause it could last me a week and I don't get tired of it. It also rocks with ketchup.
