i got all 3 on dvd at the thrift store for about a buck total. i'm thinking of watching one tonight. i kinda wanna watch the most bad of the 3. they all look bad though.

to refresh yer memory:

my boss's daughter - tara reid/ashton kutcher/terence stamp(!)

raising helen - kate hudson/john corbett

the wedding date - debra messing/dermot mulroney

it's gotta be kutcher, no?

nah. its raising helen. that really is the worst movie ever made.

no way, the worst would have to be The Wedding Date. Hudson is an OK actress, and you get Terence Stamp along with Kutcher. Nothing redeeming about The Wedding Date.

I saw Raising Helen. It was worthless, but no fun.

i was about to say kate hudson is the matthew mcconaughey of actresses and wouldn't it be insane if they were in the same film, then i remembered they were.

ok i'm borrowing this thread to ask also why everyone panned beerfest (coz that question doesn't deserve its own thread, rilly) -- i thought it was sort of silly and cute?

okay, i couldn't go kutcher tonight. i tried. i went with raising helen. already loving the sassy lady song that opens the movie: "Stand back!" "Like rock & roll lightning i'm ready to strike!".

jeezus, helen was endless. so many montages...

Yeah, more like Raising Alexanderplatz.

this movie was actually weirdly entertaining, in the way that somethingawful.com is entertaining I guess but still it was entertaining. I have no idea what bizarre circumstances I was under in which I had to watch this movie, but it was better than the Jimmy Fallon/Drew Barrymore baseball movie and the Kate Hudson/Matt McConaughey romantic comedy at the very least. It is the only one out of your group of three that I have seen, but I imagine it is the best of the three.

My mom tried to watch Raising Helen on cable the other night when she was half-awake and put on some movie about a woman with no arms and legs or something!

i put on the wedding date after raising helen the other nite and i found that i had no memory of the movie while i was actually watching the movie. there were images on my t.v. but it was as if the screen were dark.
