okay, sad, whatever, but i really like penguin classics and the books they choose, they're always digging out obscure 20th century stuff (obscure to me; petersburg. cowper powys, many others).

I don't think I've ever met anyone in the UK who has read Rand (except me) and I kind of think I wasted my time trying. Give me Steinbeck (esp. his journalism) any time.
