Er, the mother island has other football teams as well you know.

Yes, I suppose it has. Perhaps I should have said, "mother tongue's". Please accept my humble apology and see if the Welsh can somehow be mollified as well.

A bitter Scottish post in the second message of a new thread! Congratulations ILXIII - it's a new record!

Dean Ashton is the unluckiest man in the history of football. I had him down to score 20+ goals this season and force his way into the England squad whilst being hailed as the new Teddy Sheringham. And I've been deprived of my Secret Weapon in the fantasy league :(

Aw, the thread was sitting there all alone unanswered in New Answers. And I hate not to live up to my reputation :-)

I couldn't remember if I had him in my fantasy team so I went to check. I didn't, but I *did* have Geoff Horsfield who's now buggered off to Leeds, so that in itself renders this thread useful to me. Cheers, dudes.

What, pray tell ailsa, is your reputation?

M White, Tuesday, 15 August 2006 21:56 (eighteen years ago) link

Person who gets a bit grumpy when people confuse England with Scotland/Britain.

I'm sure I have others as well. I'd rather not know though.

Ha. I don't even do it in real life at all. It's just this thing.

O RLY?

uh-huh. Honest. Come to think of it, that may be because people I hang around with in real life actually know the difference.
