I'm married now, and I don't know you. Welcome back though!

Hurting (A-Ron Hubbard), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 14:46 (seventeen years ago) link

I don't know you either. But welcome back! Um, last 8 months, the only news I have is that I went back to school to become a nurse.

(Maybe you should share what YOU have been up to...?)

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 14:51 (seventeen years ago) link

Yo Chris!

The Red Sox are trying to trade Manny! Again! But you knew that!

David RER (Frank Fiore), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:04 (seventeen years ago) link

well, lets see i've been up to lots. i stopped posting here because work blocked me out and i never had time at home. now i can access this sandbox thing and i'll enjoy it while it lasts.

well, we lost a baby a while back after trying for three years. that was hard, that also contributed to me not wanting to do much. since that time we have been to a fertility treatment center and had all the tests done and what not...came back that i have a low sperm count. treatment started this month and at the end of the month we will hopefully have done a successful ivf cycle with icsi. i won't explain what icsi is...lets just say it involves one sperm and one egg.

i've quit smoking...been smoke free for 6 months. i've basically stopped drinking as well...well drinking as much...im down to about 4 pints a week. as opposed to 40.

thats about it.

hope everyone else is doing well.

thebingo (thebingo), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:38 (seventeen years ago) link

as opposed to 40

!!!

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:50 (seventeen years ago) link

bit of an exaggeration on my part....but not by much.

thebingo (thebingo), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:55 (seventeen years ago) link

phew. Cause I mean, 30, okay cool. but 40!

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:55 (seventeen years ago) link

so the house is coming along eh? your doing well? and sorry about kitty

thebingo (thebingo), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:56 (seventeen years ago) link

cvbingo dude. i had no idea. this can't be an easy time to stick with clean-living programs but it sounds like the way forward. hang in there man.

Sorry about the baby you lost :( Mother Nature can be very cruel sometimes. Best of luck for your future IVF attempt.

My life is exactly the same as it was eight months ago (except that I am eight months older, obv). I have no news.

C J (C J), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 16:01 (seventeen years ago) link

the house is a neverending project. walls are coming. cabinets being sledghammered. quite exciting.

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 16:01 (seventeen years ago) link

i've done nothing to my house besides buy a new area rug and put some antique onion lamps on the outside. hopefully in february we will re-do the hardwoods and kitchen.

thebingo (thebingo), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 16:04 (seventeen years ago) link

Good to hear from you again, Chris, and that things are improving. Now, are you still making chairs...?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 16:06 (seventeen years ago) link

Chris - So sorry to hear about the lost baby - that combined with the fertility problems has got to be the worst experience. Good luck with the ISCI! And congrats on being smoke-free; that is difficult addiction to break. Good on the drinking less, too, it sounds like...

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 16:09 (seventeen years ago) link

no on the chairs, i've had too much going on to even attempt one. but things are looking up finally. its been a rough year but we finally reached that light at the end of the tunnel.

i did become and uncle too, that helped a lot even though i resented my sister for a bit. the little guy is adorable and loves his uncle.

thebingo (thebingo), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 16:17 (seventeen years ago) link

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 16:17 (seventeen years ago) link

thebingo (thebingo), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 18:26 (seventeen years ago) link

hey chris bingo! not much is new except i moved very far away and went back to school. thanks for checking in -- good luck with the fertility stuff and the no-smoking and the cutting back on drinking.

i did become and uncle too, that helped a lot even though i resented my sister for a bit.

I remember feeling the same way when our employee brought her baby with her to work. There were times I couldn't really look at the baby cause I would burst into tears.
