NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST IN THREE SECONDS

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Friday, 1 December 2006 16:28 (seventeen years ago) link

"Earlier this year it was revealed that Christina Aguilera had paid £25,000 for three of his works, including a pornographic picture of Queen Victoria in a lesbian pose with a prostitute."

NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST IN ONE SECOND

"It was becoming increasingly uncommercialised and more and more to do with religion so we decided to open our own shop and sell pointless stuff you didn't need."

My! How could polite society ever withstand such piercing barbs and subversive wit?

"the elusive graffiti artist Banksy"

so elusive he only generates about one news story a week.

"I felt the spirit of Christmas was being lost," said Banksy (real name possibly Robin Banks or Robert Banks, or possibly neither). "It was becoming increasingly uncommercialised and more and more to do with religion so we decided to open our own shop and sell pointless stuff you didn't need."

Okay the picture is obviously rub but this is actually quite amusing.

If Christmas wasn't corrupt, nobody would care about it. Its corruptedness it what makes it so awesome, so useful: you can either a) take pleasure in indulging your greediness, or b) take pleasure in trying to reclaim a "true meaning of Christmas" that nobody ever really experienced anyway.
