in regards to my post questioning the Obama admin's non-relaxing of rules on Plan B pill, my friend responds:
"On the surface it looks bad for pro-choice supporters but honestly if an 11 year old girl is trying to buy plan B there is a problem and she is in need of a doctor's care. They're saying 17 and up to buy without a prescription. I would say sixteen would be more appropriate but anyone younger than that isn't a sexually active adult in need of emergency contraception, they're a rape victim in need of medical and legal assistance. He is taking a common sense approach."
Really hoping that some of my old HS friends who saw their first sexual action at age 15 (with people around the same age, ie, not statutory rape age) don't see this.
I don't mind the disagreement, but the suggestion that anybody under age 16 having sex = victim of rape.
