I remember Colin Quinn coming to campus, tickets were like $15, then $10, then free and still only like 200 people came. The man's never met a punchline he didn't try to stumble over

I'm in the mood to party (J0n Arbuckle), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:33 (fourteen years ago)

Colin Quinn should be shot

Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:34 (fourteen years ago)

there's other comedians whose material is bad/boring/not funny but Quinn is literally the WORST comedian I have ever seen, just incapable of performing the role.

Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:34 (fourteen years ago)

so should anyone who votes for someone other than giraldo or oneal xp

iatee, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:34 (fourteen years ago)

I kept expecting DiPaolo or Norton to show up one day with a machete and just start swinging

OH NOES, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:37 (fourteen years ago)

i remember Jim Norton being pretty funny too. the whole show was so confusing at first, you'd wonder who is Jim Norton and why does everyone make fun of him so much, and then it turns out there really was no good reason besides the fact that he's bald and kinda ugly

IMO the main reason why the show tanked was b/c it had to follow the Daily Show and was likely requested to be political or tackle social issues, which was dumb

I'm in the mood to party (J0n Arbuckle), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:39 (fourteen years ago)

The WTF with Jim Norton was so disturbing. That guy is really messed up.

~curious orange~, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:40 (fourteen years ago)

imo the main reason that the show tanked was that anyone stupid enough to enjoy this show was probably already on the show and couldn't be at home watching it

iatee, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:41 (fourteen years ago)

well i enjoyed it so fuck you

I'm in the mood to party (J0n Arbuckle), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:42 (fourteen years ago)

ya I'm surprised they didn't invite you, you coulda been big

iatee, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:43 (fourteen years ago)

lol, I was gonna say "wau Rich Vos posts to the sandbox!"

OH NOES, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:44 (fourteen years ago)

remember this was post-2001, iraq war starting, turn on the tv and see people like nick dipaolo talk about politics, I mean this was pretty much when hs-kid-me lost any faith I still had in the world

iatee, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:47 (fourteen years ago)

I thought he was terrible on SNL, so I've never really paid much attention to him elsewhere.

Don't really understand why Seinfeld loves him so much.

Louis C.K. Williams (jaymc), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:50 (fourteen years ago)

i mean i'm not saying that i agreed with like anything that was said, just the concept of a bunch of comedians with basically failed careers getting together and being generally mean-spirited to each other was funnier than most of what Comedy Central airs

saying you have to be stupid to watch it because the political views were stupid really misses the point IMO. I don't think any of the guys on the show really believed what they were saying

I'm in the mood to party (J0n Arbuckle), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:50 (fourteen years ago)

not sure I need any more evidence for why this was one of the worst things in the history of mankind when I have 'frogbs enjoyed it'

iatee, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 16:54 (fourteen years ago)

I don't think any of the guys on the show really believed what they were saying

Except for DiPaolo.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:00 (fourteen years ago)

say what you will about me, but on Twitter CQ cracks me up on the reg

andrew m., Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:01 (fourteen years ago)

don't think I ever watched a single episode of Tough Crowd though

andrew m., Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:02 (fourteen years ago)

watching Colin Quinn try to tell a joke is like watching a blind man try to drive a car

Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:02 (fourteen years ago)

he's been an excellent twitter troll as of late

dealwithit.gif, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:03 (fourteen years ago)

yeah Colin's probably a very good writer its just watching him perform is awful, even on this show - his own show, by the way! - he always looked like he'd rather be anywhere else

I'm in the mood to party (J0n Arbuckle), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:03 (fourteen years ago)

I think CQ's pretty funny on twitter too. I saw him live accidentally years ago and he was OK in person too iirc.

~curious orange~, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:07 (fourteen years ago)

really loved when he was on weekend update as a lion.

mizzell, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:16 (fourteen years ago)

The WTF with Jim Norton was so disturbing. That guy is really messed up.

a friend of mine has his book (apparently he's on Opie and Anthony all the time) and from what I read he's probably going to be the next death

I'm in the mood to party (J0n Arbuckle), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:18 (fourteen years ago)

all of these guys are always on Opie and Anthony apparently

I think what this means is that O&A are killing ppl

OH NOES, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 17:45 (fourteen years ago)

Colin Quinn did some sort of weird speech at some Comedy Central EOY bullshit awards ceremony or something that was surprisingly not-half-assed

ruth m4rcus is a mor4n (henrietta lacks), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 18:18 (fourteen years ago)

nick dipaolo and jim norton are both terrible ppl, jim norton is kinda funny

giraldo and patrice are cool, i think judy gold was okay? she was on last comic standing too, right?

colin quinn is terrible

v-shasty, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:09 (fourteen years ago)

i think at some point they did a "highlights" show (...) and they did a montage of someone bombing and the other panelists calling them out on it, i think it's on youtube, i remember it being kinda funny

v-shasty, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:10 (fourteen years ago)

judy gold is just a female nick dipaolo

iatee, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:12 (fourteen years ago)

I never even watched this show because Colin Quinn is just painful.

Nicole, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:13 (fourteen years ago)

Mike Latham Pennysong Green Hanle y, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:15 (fourteen years ago)

Always seems weird when genuinely funny people like Louis CK or Chris Rock rep for shitty comics like these.

milo z, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:17 (fourteen years ago)

i dunno quite honestly i'd take any of them over some of the special guests they'd get. if it was just Giraldo/Patrice/Norton/random 4th it would be good but IIRC they wound up just switching people out every day so you would get episodes where it seemed like nobody really knew each other and that was death

I'm in the mood to party (J0n Arbuckle), Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:18 (fourteen years ago)

how many of these guys were in that louie poker scene?

v-shasty, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:19 (fourteen years ago)

Just DiPaolo, I think. And Jim Norton was in the Dane Cook episode, right?

milo z, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:21 (fourteen years ago)

I think so. He was def in one I watched recently.

~curious orange~, Wednesday, 30 November 2011 20:23 (fourteen years ago)
