I am wearing those shoes in the OP right now. They are very VERY comfortable but I am afraid I am wearing them out too quickly.

I'd buy those shoes in the OP to replace my Keen Coronados that are wearing out, but I doubt their 13 will fit.

Roiphe, though she's not necessarily a consistently good thinker, is in some ways a very good writer, and she's a good troll.

Two days in a row I got "that was so two years ago" from people. On the first day a person said to me, "Krispy Kreme donuts were so two years ago." They weren't, they were a national fad, like hula hoops, and that was about eight or ten years ago. The next day I got, "Fleetwood Mac were so two years ago." Fleetwood Mac. Jesus. There's no justification for this. One day when Whiney Weingarten is president, these people are all going to be arrested.

I like Sprinters or whatever they're calling them now; my parents have one. :( They're a giant open box inside, with the max amt of interior room for the exterior size of the vehicle. Like RIDICULOUSLY enormous, which I realize is kind of indefensible right up until you need them to move something huge or hold 12 adults comfortably and without them having to climb over each other to get to their seats.

But they waste NOTHING inside--every inch is usable space, seats come out, fold down, and there's no space or resources devoted to being "pretty" or cushy or anything but basic. There are barely ANY vehicles on the market that you can say that about.

Okay maybe not 12 adults, but definitely at least 9.

A friend went to see a play on Sat about an evil literary editor and his coterie of aspiring editors? I think.
