iatee, Tuesday, 29 November 2011 20:27 (twelve years ago) link

iatee, Tuesday, 29 November 2011 20:30 (twelve years ago) link

it's interesting that they have all that "stuff" in their cars; do they really spend that much time in them? That sounds kinda "trashy" to me.

I am wearing those shoes in the OP right now. They are very VERY comfortable but I am afraid I am wearing them out too quickly.

Mr. Farmer, Tuesday, 29 November 2011 20:42 (twelve years ago) link

I'd buy those shoes in the OP to replace my Keen Coronados that are wearing out, but I doubt their 13 will fit.

Steve Ferdman

silby, Tuesday, 29 November 2011 20:49 (twelve years ago) link

“I did everything right. I came into work every day, I put in long hours, and I still got punched in the face,” Mr. Ferdman said. “People shouldn’t want to work in this industry anymore.”

ows rhetoric is hella infectious.

slandblox goole, Thursday, 1 December 2011 21:25 (twelve years ago) link

someone was paid for an article about comment box trolls, dated dec. 1 2011, and that person was katie roiphe.

society is in the gutter

slandblox goole, Thursday, 1 December 2011 21:26 (twelve years ago) link

haha katie roiphe is a champ

є(٥_ ٥)э, Thursday, 1 December 2011 21:31 (twelve years ago) link

Roiphe, though she's not necessarily a consistently good thinker, is in some ways a very good writer, and she's a good troll.

sterl, Saturday, 3 December 2011 01:42 (twelve years ago) link

She's also great big egotist, and I think she enjoys playing that part.

sterl, Saturday, 3 December 2011 01:44 (twelve years ago) link

Two days in a row I got "that was so two years ago" from people. On the first day a person said to me, "Krispy Kreme donuts were so two years ago." They weren't, they were a national fad, like hula hoops, and that was about eight or ten years ago. The next day I got, "Fleetwood Mac were so two years ago." Fleetwood Mac. Jesus. There's no justification for this. One day when Whiney Weingarten is president, these people are all going to be arrested.

Person One also said, "That bike is cool, but too trendy." You're 31 years old, lady, make some changes to your vocabulary.

I would rather live in a world where some people arrived late to certain fads than a world where everyone was like whiney

iatee, Monday, 5 December 2011 15:31 (twelve years ago) link

I like Sprinters or whatever they're calling them now; my parents have one. :( They're a giant open box inside, with the max amt of interior room for the exterior size of the vehicle. Like RIDICULOUSLY enormous, which I realize is kind of indefensible right up until you need them to move something huge or hold 12 adults comfortably and without them having to climb over each other to get to their seats.

But they waste NOTHING inside--every inch is usable space, seats come out, fold down, and there's no space or resources devoted to being "pretty" or cushy or anything but basic. There are barely ANY vehicles on the market that you can say that about.

Making like Melusine (Pyth), Monday, 5 December 2011 15:32 (twelve years ago) link

Okay maybe not 12 adults, but definitely at least 9.

Making like Melusine (Pyth), Monday, 5 December 2011 15:34 (twelve years ago) link

xxp It wasn't about either of them arriving late to fads, it was about them caring about other people arriving late to fads. Who doesn't hate Whiney?

youtube cover, Monday, 5 December 2011 15:35 (twelve years ago) link

okay I was just making sure

iatee, Monday, 5 December 2011 15:35 (twelve years ago) link

i thought abt posting that sky garage article but its just str8 trolling tbqf

є(٥_ ٥)э, Monday, 5 December 2011 17:33 (twelve years ago) link

on a certain level you almost pity the guy, I feel like even quiddities-types would be rolling their eyes @ this dude.

iatee, Monday, 5 December 2011 17:38 (twelve years ago) link

like why would you park a range rover in the most expensive parking spot in the world

iatee, Monday, 5 December 2011 17:40 (twelve years ago) link

A friend went to see a play on Sat about an evil literary editor and his coterie of aspiring editors? I think. One jr ed is "rich" and someone goes to her historic UWS family apartment and said, "IT HAS FOURTEEN ROOMS! How do you even go IN all of them every day?!" and the rich girl says, "It only has nine rooms, and you can only see the river from FOUR of them!"
