i went to italy once in december, i loved it, far fewer tourists, just had to bundle up

It's okay really, the thought of 9 hours in a plane while feeling like crap and having a myriad of icky nasty viral symptoms then spending 4 days in Rome when food didn't taste good and I had been so looking forward to eating/drinking, it's truly better we could just postpone until we are feeling better. And going in winter sounds great to me, maybe over New Years which would be super.

home, hooray! It was fairly great though with some major rough spots, and there are hundreds of photos to deal with now.

Also - train home from Seatac A+++++ would ride again.
