is there any way tori amos' new album "american doll posse" could possibly live up to this publicity still?

She is the new wife on "Big Love."

Is she standing on a fish? Or is that the tail end of a bird?

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver (hoosteen), Tuesday, 20 February 2007 22:13 (seventeen years ago) link

What does it say on her left hand? "Slayer"?

'Up' or 'down'?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 20 February 2007 22:17 (seventeen years ago) link

if it said "Slayer" it'd make it a lot easier to answer my question.

Rick Gibralter (grady), Tuesday, 20 February 2007 22:17 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm a bit surprised at Tori she couldn't come up with an actual object to hold in her left hand to represent "shame", if there's one thing she's usually good for it's ridiculous heavy-handed (see what I did there?) metaphors.

nklshs (nklshs), Tuesday, 20 February 2007 22:17 (seventeen years ago) link

So I guess this album is about how suburban housewives are actually menstruating shome zombies? (SZHOMBIES?)

nklshs (nklshs), Tuesday, 20 February 2007 22:18 (seventeen years ago) link

Oh, "Shame". (I was looking at the scaled down pic in another tab)
Damn. At least she covered Raining Blood on that one album.

Additionally, Tori later acknowledged that she had attempted to reinterpret four other songs that she "couldn't find her way into." They were "Fear Of A Black Planet" by Public Enemy, "Hoover Factory" by Elvis Costello, "I'm Sick Of You" by Iggy Pop and "Marlene Dietrich's Favorite Poem" by Peter Murphy. These tracks have never been released.

and what (ooo), Tuesday, 20 February 2007 22:36 (seventeen years ago) link

step hen faps (Curt1s Stephens), Wednesday, 21 February 2007 00:29 (seventeen years ago) link

i think she birthed a fish and then stepped on it on accident. she wrote "shame" on her palm because she is ashamed of killing her fish-child.

Rick Gibralter (grady), Wednesday, 21 February 2007 00:42 (seventeen years ago) link

and the open arm pose is "it was a accident"

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver (hoosteen), Wednesday, 21 February 2007 01:05 (seventeen years ago) link

Tori Amos

Marmot (marmotwolof), Wednesday, 21 February 2007 03:30 (seventeen years ago) link

well, I gave the albums after that a listen, at record stores, but didn't care for them. I still think she's talented and interesting, and I really like Pink/Pele/Choirgirl and some of Little Earthquakes.. that's in spite of the fact that.. if I stop and think about it, the way she sees the world pretty much aggravates the hell out of me!
