have you ever been stuck somewhere because of a traffic jam/public transport delays, when you're already late for an appointment/meeting?

this happened to me once, but it was a free ride, so it wasn't a big thing really.

it is worse when the appointment is a very important one.

And then the people in front of you are driving slowly.

As I rely on Chicago's public transportation system for all of my intra-city traveling needs, yes. All the time. The worst is when I'm cutting it really, really close and if the CTA worked the way it should have, I would be on time, but then there is a delay and I am thus late and I can't say "Oh, it was the trains!" because if I'd left ten minutes earlier, like I should have to allow for the inevitability of transit delays, I would have been on time.

I still blame it on the trains that were stalling, stalling. Yeah yeah.

why don't they just make roads that don't need repairs, DUH

Shadowcat (A-Ron Hubbard), Tuesday, 20 February 2007 17:05 (seventeen years ago) link

if nobody drove then we wouldn't have traffic jams and we could drive to our appointments and get there on time
