i'd imagine at least one of the 'bona fide' right-wing 'toons is in fact a satire. the onion do it brilliantly, but they can't be anything but blatant about where they stand due to the intellectual, liberal nature of their general content. unless they have someone 'on the inside' as well...

the one with 'the left' as a rabid, frothing madman being restrained by the 'blue dog'...nobody in their right minds would surely publish such drivel, whatever their political allegiances are. it's positively destructive towards its own supposed 'cause'...which is why I suspect it's probably been drawn with the view to piss off just about everyone, in an act of crude omni-satire. although if it succeeds in its aim of enraging liberals (as it did with me), it goes part of the way to fulfilling its own prophecy, a complication i'm sure well beyond the cerebral reach of its manifestly imbecilic author.
