I think its the 'MSM' stirring up the radical islamist cats to go after pope dennis hopper I

Ed (dali), Thursday, 7 December 2006 09:20 (seventeen years ago) link

Yeah, but why are they attacking the "imam" as well? And why is he with the pope?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 7 December 2006 09:22 (seventeen years ago) link

I thing the imam is is more shocked than being attacked. I like the fighting cardinal.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 7 December 2006 09:26 (seventeen years ago) link

day by day/chris muir... so awful. really trying to pimp out the "COOL REPUBLICANZ" ideal that nobody buys.

GAWD PVNCH (yournullfame), Thursday, 7 December 2006 11:27 (seventeen years ago) link

did you hear that the pope visited turkey, recently, tuomas?

kingfish in absentia (kingfish), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 17:50 (seventeen years ago) link

What the fuck is the deal with the Harris one upthread? I thought right wing nuts liked her?

jw (ex machina), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 18:25 (seventeen years ago) link

I thought kingfish was just posting, like, specific "highlights" from that DBD shit, I did not realize the entire run of the cartoon is basically soft porn with people saying incredibly awkward george will shit

I mean this is like a perfect illustration of the point where it becomes confusing to differentiate between Dada and schizoid

TOM. BOT. (trm), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 18:48 (seventeen years ago) link

seriously! dude's gotta have the same two facets in every single day's strip! "My audience is here for what I'm good at, so I'll give it to 'em."

Oddly enough, the strip reminds me most of Liberty Meadows, only the talking animals are far more realistic and Frank Cho affords his cheesecake character(s) far more dignity by not having to flash asscrack every other frame.

kingfish in absentia (kingfish), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 18:53 (seventeen years ago) link

It is the most bonkers strip ever, check the ones from early in the year about punching hillary

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 18:54 (seventeen years ago) link

http://www.daybydaycartoon.com/2006/01/09 and on, and it's punching Bill not Hillary.

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 18:56 (seventeen years ago) link

I don't get 85% of these comics.

Allyzay is cool: with Blue n White, with Eli Manning, with NY Giants (Allyzay Ei, Tuesday, 12 December 2006 19:02 (seventeen years ago) link

there's nothing to get, unless you live inside these people's fucked-up magical worlds

TOM. BOT. (trm), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 19:07 (seventeen years ago) link

The only one that makes any sense is that one that someone put Carlos Mencia in.

Allyzay is cool: with Blue n White, with Eli Manning, with NY Giants (Allyzay Ei, Tuesday, 12 December 2006 19:08 (seventeen years ago) link

Now THAT is funny.

So does dude beat off to these things once he's drawn them?? Is that the point?

jw (ex machina), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 19:41 (seventeen years ago) link

The thing is like 90% of non-political webcomics are just cheesecake + shitty punchlines too.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 13 December 2006 17:06 (seventeen years ago) link

It's like some 30's cartoonist would've been like, "HA HA, STALIN AND HITLER MADE A PACT!".

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 13 December 2006 17:13 (seventeen years ago) link

But were there student protesters?

jw (ex machina), Wednesday, 13 December 2006 17:14 (seventeen years ago) link

Apparently the jokie is Ahmadinejad = stinky

nathan explosion (natepatrin), Wednesday, 13 December 2006 17:18 (seventeen years ago) link

I also like the implication that the leader of Iran just let some dude in a hood into his office and then asked him later who he was

urghonomic (gcannon), Wednesday, 13 December 2006 18:21 (seventeen years ago) link

(why i assumed mamet was a liberal, i don't know...)

urghonomic (gcannon), Wednesday, 13 December 2006 18:28 (seventeen years ago) link

Kinda heavy on the "criticism of Israeli policy = you read and believe Protocols" but still seems to the left of, say, South Park

nathan explosion (natepatrin), Wednesday, 13 December 2006 18:35 (seventeen years ago) link
