Pastel Capri Pants

I am looking for a older lady companion. You must be tan, I mean REALLY tan and a bit wrinkled from previous years of tanning.
I also prefer you to have dyed blondish hair with just a bit of the dark roots showing. Also, hair that has been a bit over processed is a must!

Mainly the capri pants in colors of sherbert ice cream is what really turns me on. The brighter the better! Sandals with rhinestones and bright flowers are an added bonus.
Maybe you could wear a shirt with a photograph of your grandchild on our first date.

http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2006/08/30/guard_families_cope_in_two_dimensions/

Welcome to the ``Flat Daddy" and ``Flat Mommy" phenomenon, in which life-size cutouts of deployed service members are given by the Maine National Guard to spouses, children, and relatives back home.

The Flat Daddies ride in cars, sit at the dinner table, visit the dentist, and even are brought to confession, according to their significant others on the home front.

``I prop him up in a chair, or sometimes put him on the couch and cover him up with a blanket," said Kay Judkins of Caribou, whose husband, Jim, is a minesweeper mechanic in Afghanistan. ``The cat will curl up on the blanket, and it looks kind of weird. I've tricked several people by that. They think he's home again."

cory doctorow's book:
The fantasy is told in a straight, hard-boiled style that makes it seem believable. By the way, did I mention that this is a love story? And that his girlfriend has wings?

Is he related to EL? Cuz if so, I won't read it. Fucking hate E.L. Doctorow.

DG (The DG), Friday, 1 September 2006 16:17 (eighteen years ago) link

LF, which book is that? I've read Down and Out In The Magic Kingdom and Eastern Standard Tribe, I don't remember a girlfriend with wings? Anyway, agreed on his style. I love that his futurist stuff is like, not overly u- or dys-topian (as almost all futurist fiction seems to be), it's just, like, meh-topian.

I don't know if he's related to EL Doctorow. This is Cory Doctorow of boingboing.net fame.
