Haha every fourth year or so I feel some slight sympathy for cartoonists who have to hold back from caricaturing non-white features for fear of being offensive, but then it's like, hell, sorry, Americans have spent all their capital in terms of caricaturing non-white people -- people had their shot and had a good run of it, time's up!

One thing I would be incredibly curious to see is old equivalent renderings of Europeans from an early colonial period, like caricatured representations of the freaky pale people with the boats. Something of this has surely been preserved somewhere.

The PCC accepted Brown's argument, stating "There is nothing inherently anti-semitic about the Goya image or about the myth of Saturn devouring his children, which has been used previously to satirise other politicians accused of sacrificing their own 'children' for political purposes".[8] The cartoon ultimately earned Brown the British Political Cartoon Society's Political Cartoon of the Year award.
