one of my favorite Jenna moments is her calling the Friedlander character on being as invested in a certain persona as she is in hers.

It's not that Kevin dislikes him, he's just not crazy about him. Kevin would say that Friedlander is fine in the show to date, it's just that he wouldn't want to see him become more prominent or fleshed-out, because he suspects he'd be less funny in larger doses.

i can't really imagine rachel dratch in the jenna role at all, it's weird that she was originally cast in it. although maybe the character really shaped up differently after krakowski was cast.
