Well, no. I was exaggerating. I have spent more than one evening on their msgbrd marveling at their complete insanity and more than one evening is way more than enough imo.

I can understand a crazy amount of fandom for a kid's cartoon but I don't understand this level of fandom for a show that has unbelieveably contrived plot progression, Barney-like morals at the end of every episode and a lack humor... the only funny bits I've seen on this show is when the pink pony spazzes out

I find the new MLP show fun and likeable, but the sheer amount of adulation it gets puzzles me too. Almost every comic book/sci-fi/TV geek forum I visit has worn out several MLP threads already - do people really love the show that much, or is a lot of it due to the unlikelihood of the franchise having geek appeal? Whatever the reason, the buzz has to die down soon.
