When I first moved here, people told me they dealt with it by not looking up.

And I bought an umbrella that was black on the outside and painted with blue skies and fluffy white clouds on the inside, just to spite them.

now I buy tricksy ones with lights in the end to shine on my path and blue leds in the entire handle so I look like an extra from Bladerunner (or that I have modified my light sabre)

iirc it was filmed in canadia! i don't mind watching gloomy things and i love rain, and i understand the keeping californians out thing, i just want my partner to want to like seattle. i am going to show him the beautiful panorama from real ilx to counter any bad impressions.

when I heard maurice sendak had died, I thought about jergins right away. that sendak nutcracker was a major thing for me as a kid!
