coca cola is good, even better when it's foreign coke with real sugar and not hfcs. the key is to let it settle flatten a bit and not drink it when it's really fizzy.

1. water
2. highly salted hot lentils

4. cheez-its

i learned the most AMAZING thing about eggs two weeks ago at a friends restaurant, omg you guys will freak out.

first take an egg and poke a deep hole through the hard end of the egg with a thin tooth pick, deep enough to break the yolk.

then put the egg with the hole facing up in pantyhose (no idea why, but just go with this) and then spin the egg extremely fast in a tight rotation.

after about 30 seconds you will here a distinct "pop" or "click".

take the egg out and either break it or boil it, and you will see that the yolk is on the outside of the egg and the eggwhite will be in the center! Totally amazing!

The formula for Airborne was developed by Victoria Knight-McDowell, an elementary school teacher from Carmel, California. In the early 1990s, she began brewing herbal and vitamin cocktails (in hopes of warding off the germs spread by her second-grade students), "experimenting with vitamins C, E and A, as well as zinc, selenium and herbs including forsythia, ginger, isatis root and echinacea."[1] When she felt she had developed an effective preventive formula against colds, Knight-McDowell began selling it in tablet form to local drug stores. Over the next few years, largely by word-of-mouth, the formula's popularity grew. In 1997 specialty grocery chain Trader Joe's ordered 300 cases of Airborne tablets to sell, and by 1999 other larger chains, such as Wal-Mart and Rite Aid, began stocking Airborne. It has been ranked the #1 cold and flu remedy at Drugstore.com and is considered one of the fastest selling health products in retail history.[2]

i have been two hours late to work on many occasions. i have used the following excuses:

- drs appt
- no water in apt
- fuckin' (this is actually true but it was at the point at my last job where i could stab a bitch and they'd keep me)
- was very ill from bad sushi night before but will be trooping in when done puking
- car accident
- cat got sick

Allyzay heard you got beat up in a club. (Allyzay Eisenschefter), Friday, 23 February 2007 20:19 (seventeen years ago) link

my favorite excuse was the time i explained lateness due to being arrested and brought to the "drunk tank" (wtf is the drunk tank?) for drunkenly telling off a police officer when, on the way home from a friend's birthday party, i was given a ticket for running a red light on a bicycle. getting out of jail late into the morning left me a) late to work and b) smelling of booze.

i was explained to that i should never tell an employer that i was arrested; then, i was sent home with a full day's pay.

the typical excuses above (drs apt that i forgot to mention, food posioning, pet sick/at dr, bike accident, no water in apt, flood/other probem in apt and had to wait for super/cable person/etc) work much better. drunky me is an idiot.

it has been a very long, hungover day in which sadly no bacon was eaten
singing and yelling with space echo on + sushi for dinner made everything a lot better though
